A Message from Dr. Bedotto

I always tell my patients that establishing and maintaining cardiovascular health is not magic.  It can’t be obtained by taking a pill, supplement or vitamin.  It can be readily attained, however, through a life-long commitment to nutrition and daily exercise.  The good news is that this is not as difficult as it sounds.  While all diets, if followed, will provide weight loss, I recommend the Mediterranean diet to improve your cardiovascular health and increase longevity.  It’s nutritious, offers a great deal of variety, and is relatively easy to follow.  However, before you make any significant changes in your diet, exercise or lifestyle, always consult a physician for a complete physical evaluation.
